Sonic initially showed no interest, but upon seeing Dr. Eggman's name among the participants, he decided to join. Knuckles wanted to settle the score with Sonic, Amy had unwavering belief that Sonic would definitely show up, and Eggman secretly prepared a few secret weapons.
