Kyojin-tachi Zero: Prologue

Two years before the events of Kyojin-tachi I, rookie investigator Watanabe is assigned to the First Investigation Division of the Seimi Department’s Security Bureau. Frustrated by investigations whose conclusions have already been predetermined by the Intelligence Division, he accepts an offer to work alongside the division chief, Madaraneko.

Watanabe is subsequently ordered to investigate Shigemura, a second-year student at Fukurasuzume High School who may be connected to Netsect, a remnant hacker organization that resisted the internet regulation laws introduced after the day the internet stopped. If the suspected connection is confirmed, the Seimi Department intends to deal with the student through its own methods.

A sequel to Kyojin-tachi, following Watanabe as he conducts a secret investigation into Netsect, the remnants of a hacker group that opposed the internet regulation laws enacted across multiple countries.
